Edward Enninful is the first male black editor in chief of British Vogue and youngest director at the i-D magazine. His career started at the age of 16 when he was noticed on the train by Simon Foxton. A few weeks after turning 18, Enninful got the promotion and became the youngest fashion director. By the time he was 20, he already had Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, Lanvin, Mulberry, Valentino, Jil Sander, Calvin Klein, Fendi, Gucci, Hugo Boss, as his clients. One of his most recognizable projects was “The Best British.” It is a cover story done in collaboration with photographer Sølve Sundsbø. This cover story was made out of 12 different covers with models, including Jourdan Dunn, Kate Moss, Susie Bick, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant, Eliza Cummings, Alice Dellal, Daisy Lowe, Twiggy, Yasmin Le Bon, Lily Donaldson, and Agyness Deyn. Edward took over W magazine in 2011, as fashion and style-director. In April 2017, he was announced as editor-in-chief of British Vogue.
