Caroline Donnelly is an expert makeup artist with over 20 years of experience. She is known for her love for creating different looks and her immaculate makeup skills. Born in Sunderland, Caroline grew up in Washington. She studied graphic designing at Newcastle College and took up Fashion Styling for Hair and Makeup at the London College of Fashion after bagging a scholarship. However, it was a short course in theatrical makeup at Gateshead College that made her realize her strong desire to build a career in makeup artistry. Her first job as a makeup artist was for a children’s show on BBC. She also worked with Byker Grove. Both experiences left her in love with her work, creating moods and characters with the strokes of her brushes. Soon Caroline was working as a freelance makeup artist for photoshoots, magazine covers, music videos, and television. She enjoyed fashion weeks in New York, Milan, London, and Paris. Gwen Stefani was the first celebrity she worked with, followed by others such as Jude Law, singer Carole King, and Steven Tyler. Caroline has been working as the senior makeup artist at M.A.C Cosmetics now for over 15 years. She continues to work with film and music stars and is known for the intense research she puts in then. Long stressful hours still fuel her desire for perfection.
