With one of the most recognizable voices and accents in the industry, American film and TV actress Lorraine Bracco is a stellar performer. After graduating from Hicksville High School, she moved to France to start her modelling career with Jean Paul Gaultier. Marc Camoletti helped her begin her acting career with a role in the film adaptation of the play ‘Duos sur canapé’ in 1979. Although she didn't care much for the experience she had while filming it, she acted in other French movies for the income. It was the Italian film, ‘Camorra’ that ignited an interest in acting. Following that, she performed in several films like ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’, ‘The Basketball Diaries’, ‘Medicine Man’ and ‘Hackers’. The movie ‘Goodfellas’ was her real breakthrough earning her Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. She even won the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award and Chicago Film Critics Association Award for best actress for her seamless portrayal of the character Karen Hill.
