Celebrity makeup artist Jai Williams was an International ballet dancer before he entered the world of beauty. Born in Las Vegas, Jai moved to Texas to study at the Houston Ballet Academy. It was here that he discovered the art of makeup. He began his career by applying makeup to ballet dancers in events around the world and was able to improve his skills. His passion and dedication for the art soon had him styling celebrities like Jennifer Saunders, Shingo, Vanessa Williams, Sanaa Lathan, Rita Ora, and many others all over the world. Jai began working independently as a freelance artist and collaborated with photographers like Mike Ruiz, Cliff Watts, Frederic Pinet, Alexi Lubomirski, and others for projects with Flaunt magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Essence and Instyle magazine. He is currently based in New York City.
