Brought up in Ohio US, Erin Parsons was always obsessed with fashion and beauty from a young age. She started her first job at a counter for Lancôme when she was 18 and soon was one of the best sellers. She then moved on to work with MAC Cosmetics and the experience gave her ample opportunity and impetus to enhance her skills and creativity. Soon Erin was taking face chart classes there. The success of her classes and her growing skills prompted her to start her own company, The Powder room, in Ohio. They focused on beauty brands that were not commonly available in their region and also trained makeup artists to teach their customers how to use those products. A few years later Erin moved to New York to work in the fashion industry. She started by assisting photographers and stylists on fashion week shows and was soon working with professionals on shows across Paris, Milan, New York, and London. By 2016 she was freelancing as a makeup artist, working with top names from the industry like Jonathan Simkhai, Gypsy Sport, Bibhu Mohapatra, Teen Vogue. Today her clientele includes brands like Maybelline, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Erin, Calvin Klien, Harper’s Bazaar, Brandon Maxwell, and many others.
