David Jones is a stylist, makeup artist and fashion designer born in Halifax and raised in Winnipeg – Canada. His love for makeup was born with black and white horror movies. From a young age, he wanted to start in the fashion industry, so he moved to Vancouver. His beginnings were as a teacher at the makeup school Blanche Macdonald and then, he worked for Vancouver magazine. In 1995, David Jones traveled to Milan – Italy to do photoshoots for fashion shows, then managed to work for Green Apple. Working for this company, Jones obtained an important contact with Pat MacGrath, of whom he was a collaborator. David Jones did work for magazines such as Vogue Italia, Elle (Canada and Ukraine), Instinct and El Cuarto.
