Tracy Pollan was born on June 22, 1960, in Long Island, New York, USA, as Tracy Jo Pollan. She is an actress and producer, best known for playing the role of Ellen Reed in the sitcom 'Family Ties.' Tracy has also appeared in many other TV shows, including 'ABC Afterschool Special,' 'American Playhouse,' 'Spin City,' 'The Michael J. Fox Show, 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent, 'The Kennedys of Massachusetts,' 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 'Medium' and 'Nightcap.' Pollan has also done a lot of theatre work, including 'Pack of Lies,' 'Album,' 'Jake's Women,' and 'Woman in Mind.' The talented actress has also done several television films, like Sessions, The Baron, and the Kid, The Abduction of Kari Swenson, Promised Land, A Stranger Among Us, Children of the Dark, and Justice for Natalee Holloway, to name a few. Apart from being an actress and producer, Pollan is also an author. Along with her two sisters and mother, she has co-authored The Pollan Family Table — a cookbook based on family recipes, cooking techniques, and kitchen tips.
