He has won the Sir John Gielgud Prize for Best Actor and the Ian Charleson Award for his performance in Coriolanus at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1994. Toby's works with RSC include Measure for Measure, Antony and Cleopatra, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Wallenstein, Unfinished Business, and All's Well That Ends Well. The actor has also worked in the Peter Hall production Tartuffe and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (1996). His TV works include The Camomile Lawn (1992) and A View from the Bridge (2012).
