American actress Thora Birch belongs to a family of actors and has been in the business since only four years old. It was a Quaker Oats commercial that made her a famous child artist. In the initial years of her career, Birch appeared in several advertisements and campaigns for brands like Burger King, Vlasic Pickles, and California Raisins. In 1988, she started her film career with the science fiction ‘Purple People Eater’, which earned her a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress Under Nine Years of Age. In the same year, she also made an appearance in the popular sitcom ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’.
