Formed in 2000, The Darkness is a British Rock band, with Justin Hawkins as their lead vocalist, Dan Hawkins as the guitarist, Rufus Tiger Taylor as the drummer, and Frankie Poullain as the bass guitarist. They released their debut album Permission to Land  (2003), with singles like 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love,' 'Growing on Me,' 'Get Your Hands off My Woman,' and 'Love is Only a Feeling,' which won them not just worldwide accolades but also three Brit Awards. In 2005, Richie Edwards replaced Poullain, and the second album, One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back (2005), was released.  Eventually, Justin Hawkins left the band, and the rest renamed themselves Stone Gods and continued to play. The band toured and performed in Download Festival 2011 and the Isle of Wight Festival 2012. Their successive albums are Hot Cakes (2012), Last of Our Kind (2015), Pinewood Smile (2017), and Easter Is Cancelled (2019).
