Steven Victor Tallarico is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He was born in Yonkers, New York, on March 26, 1948. He studied at Cardinal Spellman High School and Berklee College of Music. Tyler started as a drummer.Tyler later became the lead singer in various local rock 'n roll groups such as The Strangers, Chain, and William Prod. Tyler made his first hit with the song "Dream on" (1965). In 1970 he formed the band Aerosmith with four more musicians. The band signed a record deal (1971) and released their debut album, Homonymous Debut Album (1973), followed by 'Get Your Wings' (1974), Toys in the Attic (1975), Rocks (1976), among others. Tyler appears singing the lyrics of the song Rockin On Top of the World in the Christmas movie "The Polar Express" (2004)
