Born as Sonny John Moore, this American DJ, musician, singer and record producer is professionally known as Skrillex. Hailing from Los Angeles, Skrillex enrolled in a private school which he quit because of immense bullying. After that, he was homeschooled and sought great refuge in punk music, attending gigs all over LA. His interest in music led him to create the band ‘From First to Last’, a post-hardcore band. On the side, he even worked on another band called ‘Dog Blood’ which would catapult him to fame. In 2009, he was all set to debut a studio album titled ‘Gypsyhook EP’ which was unfortunately canned. However, he distributed it online on platforms like MySpace. His popularity grew, and he even went on to receive five Grammy Award nominations and won three including ‘Best Dance/Electronica Album’, ‘Best Dance Recording’ and ‘Best Remixed Recording’.

In the past, Skrillex has worked with celebrity makeup artists which include: Molly Greenwald and Leibi Carias.
