Formed in the year 2001, the Scissor Sisters is an American band associated with the pop/rock genres. Their members include Ana Matronic and Jake Shears as vocalists, Del Marquis as the lead guitarist and bassist, Randy Real, the drummer, and BabyDaddy, as the multi-instrumentalist. They are mostly associated with Glam Rock, Pop-rock, Indie Pop Nu-disco, Electroclash, and Alternative Rock forms of music. Their debut album was called ‘Scissor Sisters’ and was released in 2004. They rose to fame with the release of their disco version of the song ‘Comfortably Numb’, which received a Grammy nomination. Their debut album reached the No.1 position on the UK Albums Charts. The band’s second album was equally successful with the single ‘I Don’t Feel Like Dancing’ again gaining the top spot in the UK Singles Chart. Their other two albums called ‘Night Work’ and ‘Magic Hour’ were also very successful. Some of their popular songs are ‘Let’s Have a Kiki’, ‘Any Which Way’, ‘Laura’, ‘Fire with Fire’, and ‘SWERLK’.
