Born on November 3, 1952, Roseanne Barr is an American comedian and actress. She was first seen as a standup comedian and later became famous through her work in The Tonight show (1985), for which she won an Emmy Award in 1993. She worked with costars like Meryl Streep in She-devil (1989) and Ed Begley jr. In Look who's Talking too (1990). She also starred in Freddy's Dead (1991), Blue in the Face (1995), and Meet Wally Sparks (1997).  She ran her talk show from 1998-2000 named The Roseanne Show. In 2012, she also contested the President of the USA's nominations as the peace and freedom Party candidate, although she could not make it. Barr is the author of three books based on her life experiences: My Life as a Woman (1989), My Lives (1994), and Roseannearchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm (2011).
