Rosanne Cash is an American singer and songwriter. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on May 24, 1955. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School. She studied English and theater at Vanderbilt University and in Los Angeles she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in Hollywood.Cash joined her father's roadshow, as an assistant and later as an occasional vocalist and soloist. She participated in the recording of her father Johnny Cash's album "The Junkie and the Juicehead Minus Me" (1974). Cash's self-titled debut album was recorded in 1974 but was not released by the label. Her second production "Seven Year Ache" (1981) was number one on the Billboard Pop Chart. Then her third album “Somewhere in the Stars” (1982) comes out. Cash continued to produce in the following years. She won a Grammy for best song (1985) and has written short stories and articles.
