Rhys Ifans is a Welsh actor, producer, and singer. He was born on July 22, 1967, in Haverfordwest, United Kingdom. Rhys went to train at Guildhall school of music and Drama in London. Rhys attended the O'Neill National Theatre Institute in Waterford, CT. Initially, he was the lead singer for the Welsh Rock Group Super Furry Animals before changing their mottos. Later Rhys entered the theater world in 1994 through the West End Production of Beautiful thing. In 1996, Rhys made his debut in the Anthony Hopkins directed film 'August.'
