Footballer Rafael Pereira da Silva plays for the Super Lig Club, Istanbul Basakshehir. Playing as a right-back and right midfielder, the footballer was first spotted by a Fluminense representative when he and his twin brother played a five-a-side game in their neighborhood. The twins were invited to play for the club, starting their inspirational careers. When the Fluminense Club played at the 2005 Nike Premier Cup in Hong Kong, Rafael was spotted by Les Kershaw, who was a scout for Manchester United. The Silva twins were then invited to train with the club in the same year. They even received an offer for Arsenal shortly afterward. In January 2008, Rafael moved to Manchester with his twin after a deal was signed in February 2007. After a successful debut season, his contract received a two-year extension. Today, as described by Sir Alex Ferguson, the energetic and skilled player plays for Lyon and has even had two caps for his home team, Brazil.
