Famous musician, and film producer, Quincy Delight Jones, Jr. was born on March 14, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois. Quincy dropped out of his college and began his career as a trumpeter and conductor.  In the 1950s, Jones was a member of several bands. After which, in the mid-1960s, the musician began composing for film and television, eventually producing over 50 compositions. He recorded with many famous musicians like Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie, Dinah Washington, LeVern Baker, and Big Maybell. Quincy Jones got his first Grammy prize in 1963 for his arrangement of 'I Can't Stop Loving You' by Count Basie. Jones' music can be heard in 'The Slender Thread,' 'Walk, Don't Run,' 'In Cold Blood,' 'In The Heat Of The Night,' to name a few. Later, he collaborated with some legendary musicians like Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, and Celine Dion. Quincy has 27 Grammy awards to his name.
