Famous as a director and actor, Quentin Jerome Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963, in Knoxville, Tennessee. His career as a director started with Bloody Days (1992). He subsequently wrote True Romance (1993) and Natural Born Killers (1994). He cemented his position as a director with Pulp Fiction (1994) which won Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. His next film was Inglorious Basterds (2009), based on World War II, followed by Django Unchained (2012), based on slavery, and The Hateful Eight (2015) on the Civil War. He also directed Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood (2019), which stars Leonardo Di Caprio and Brad Pitt.
