Philippe Katerine, born on December 8, 1968, in Chantonnay, Vendée in France was one of the most prominent musicians in France back in the 90s. His career began with the release of his first full-length studio album 'Les Mariages Chinois Et La Relecture.' Katherine is said to have recorded and composed a bulk of his discography by himself inside his home studio. His music was initially received as a bit of derivative of Bossa Nova, with a slight twist on the lyrics that indicated morbid humor and often put together with audio staples. Philippe also had a passion for cinema from a young age and spent most of his career appearing in several feature films. He made his first appearance as an actor in the French Biopic 'Gainsbourg.' Philippe's timing and delivery bagged him a lead role in the 2015 film 'I am No Man's Land.' He has also received the Cesar Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the movie' Sink or Swim.'
