Born on June 5, 1979 in Wilmette, Illinois, Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III started out his musical career by collaborating with hardcore punk bands in the scene. He then formed his first band First Born in 1993 with some of the people he met through these gigs. During the same time, he began playing bass for a band called Racetraitor.  After working with a few other bands such as Yellow Road Priest and Birthright, Pete finally decided to form his own band. This led to the formation of the legendary punk-pop band Fall Out Boy with Joe Trohman, Andy Hurley, and Patrick Stump.
