Olympic taekwondo champion, Paige Arielle McPherson has rightfully earned the title of ‘McFierce’ for her incredible power and performance. McPherson was one of four siblings who grew up in South Dakota. An Alumni of Black Hills Christian Academy and Miami Dade College, she is the first woman from the taekwondo team of the United States who has competed in three Olympic Games. She became part of the U.S.A. Taekwondo team in the year 2016 after she bagged gold at the 2016 Pan American Games. Even with her petite stature for the 67kg weight class, she has managed to win silver and bronze at the Taekwondo World Championships. In the year 2018, she bagged her first international gold medal at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix. She was last seen at the Pan American Games Lima and the Grand Prix Finals where she won silver and bronze respectively. Her calm approach to the sport has helped her become an inspiration to young athletes globally.
