Olivia Blanc, also known as Olivia Ruiz is a French pop singer who rose to fame after reaching the semi-finals of the French star Academy Series in 2011. She released her debut single Paris in mid-2002. Her album J'aime Pas lAmour that was released in 2003, sold more than 50,000 copies the next year. She also wrote one song La Dispute in October 2003. Olivia has worked on duets with artists like Weepers Circus, and Christian Olivier from Les Têtes Raides. She has worked with renowned French songwriters including Ben Ricour, Christophe Mali from Tryo and Mathias Malzieu, leader of Dionysos. Her lead single, J'traîne des Pieds, proved to be a blockbuster hit, and the LP was named Album of the Year at the annual Victoires de la Musique honors. In 2007, Ruiz released her first live album: Chocolate Show: Live which was recorded at the Cirque dHiver in Paris. Her latest release was Miss Météores Live in 2010.
