The Rock band Oasis was formed in 1991 in Manchester. It evolved from a team of musicians called trying to make a mark in the field of music. First named ‘Rain’, it was renamed ‘Oasis’ when Liam Gallagher joined the band as the lead vocalist. Soon his brother, Noel, also joined as the songwriter. Oasis finally got a breakthrough when they were noticed by Alan McGhee, the owner of Creation Records. He produced the first three albums by the band, starting with Definitely Maybe (1994). Their debut album was a massive success and topped the music charts across the country. Oasis released the rest of their albums, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000), Heathen Chemistry (2002), Don't Believe the Truth (2005), and Dig Out Your Soul (2008) under the Big Brother Records label. "Wonderwall'' is the most famous Oasis single that won them the Grammy nominations under two categories. The band has won six Brit Awards and three Grammy nominations altogether. Noel Gallagher won two Ivor Novello Awards for his outstanding songwriting.
