Born on June 3, 1981 in Summit,  New Jersey, Nikki Michelle James made her singing debut with the Broadway stage production ‘The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer’ where she portrayed the role of Ottilie. As a child, James was always keen on being a performer and would take part in several school productions and plays as a way to develop her passion. She even won the Rising Star Award at the Paper Mill Playhouse for her portrayal of Dolly Levi. Nikki has several plays to her credit, one of her most memorable roles being her performance as Dorothy in La Jolla Playhouse’s production of ‘The Wiz’. Her work as Nabulungi in the 2011 musical production ‘The Book Of Mormon’ received the Tony Award for the Best Featured Actress In a Musical. Following her success with these screenplays, James took a sabbatical to perform in a feature film adaptation of ‘Lucky Stiff’.
