Nancy Kerrigan
Nancy Ann Kerrigan, an American figure skater, Olympic medalist, and actress, was born on October 13, 1969, in Woburn, Massachusetts, USA. She made her debut in the US Figure Skating Competitions by moving up the national rankings. In the 1992 Winter Olympics, she won a bronze followed by a silver medal in the 1992 World Championships. Post these; she had sponsorship contracts with brands like Evian, Reebok etc. In the 1994 Winter Olympics, she performed in the ladies' single skating, and in the following Olympics, she participated in the Walt Disney World parade. After retiring from Skating, Nancy appeared on a TV movie Tonya and Nancy: The Inside Story. She also hosted Saturday Night Live with Aretha Franklin and was seen in Boy Meets World, Skating with Celebrities, Blades of Glory, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians. In 2004, Kerrigan sang a cover, The Best for Tina Turner. She also wrote a book, Artistry on Ice. She founded the Nancy Kerrigan Foundation to spread awareness about blind and visually impaired people. Kerrigan was inducted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame and was honored at Ice Theatre of New York's Annual Benefit Gala.
