British record producer, singer, and songwriter, Michael Kiwanuka was born on May 3, 1987, in London, United Kingdom. He  graduated with a degree in Media, Arts, and Design from the University of Westminster. He started his career as a session guitarist for Bashy and Chipmunk. At the age of 22, his performance at The Oxford caught Communion Records’ attention, which released two of his EPs and his first debut album. This album, titled ‘Home Again’ released in 2012, was declared a Gold in the UK. This was followed by his superhit album, ‘Love and Hate’ which debuted at number one. For his work, the singer has won a 2012 BBC Sound Award and the Mercury Prize.
