The renowned French singer, songwriter Maxime Le Forestier was born on February 10, 1949, in France. He attended the Lycee Condorcet to study literature. His musical journey started with his classical violin lessons in childhood. Maxime's sister Catherine and he formed a group, performing on Paris Left Bank in 1967. The pair recorded a few songs like MA Solitude and MA Liberte for Georges Mustaki. His solo musical debut was Coeur de Pierre, Face de Lune in 1969. In 1971, he signed a contract to release another solo single, Mon Frère, soon followed by San Francisco. He took a few years break from the commercial market and returned in 1988 with yet another single Né Quelque Par. He collaborated with co-artists Vanessa Paradis and Passer MA Route. In 1996, he released a collection of Georges Brassens covers. LEcho des Etoiles is the next original he released in 2000. He recorded his next album Restons Amants in 2008.
