Mary Tyler Moore is an American actress who was born on January 29, 1936. She worked as an actress and chorus girl in her early career. Mary has been seen in television shows like The Dick Van Dyke Show, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show telecasted in 1960-1970. Later she was also seen in television comedies like The Bob Newhart Show (1972–78), Rhoda (1974–78), Taxi (1978–83), Newhart (1982–90), and Cheers (1982–93), as well as the dramas Hill Street Blues (1981–87) and Lou Grant (1977–82). She won an Emmy award for the same. She worked with co-stars like Betty White in Hot in Cleveland and Madeline Kahn in New York news. When she found that she had diabetes, she was driven by the desire to spread awareness on diabetes prevention apart from advocating animal protection. She died at the age of 80, on January 25, 2017, battling a brain tumor and diabetes.
