Maria Höfl-Riesch is a three-time Olympics-winning skier who was born on November 24, 1984. She is also one of the most well-known food and fitness influencers and motivational speakers of the current generation. Even as a young girl, she showcased great sporting skills winning seven medals in four Junior World Championships in Skiing. She was also a racer who became a leader for the German National Team. However, an injury caused her to miss her 2006 and 2006 seasons. In 2009, she made a comeback, winning the gold medal at the World Championships and ranking on top in four slalom events. She even won two gold medals in the Winter Olympics in the following year. In 2011, she won the overall title at the World Cup, beating defending Champion, Lindsey Vonn. She took the top rank by only three points. In 2014, she retired from a glorious career after an unfortunate downhill crash at the World Cup Finals.
