Born on June 8, 1978 in Medford, Massachusetts, Maria Menounos is an American entertainment reporter, television personality and actress. She is an alumnus of Emerson College in Boston. She is best known for her role as a correspondent for Today, Access Hollywood, Extra (in the United States) and co-hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens, Greece. Maria made her debut on television when she hosted the Channel One News show in 1990, where she got an opportunity to interview The President, George W. Bush.

She made her first debut in 2005 in Fantastic Four, an American superhero movie. In 2002, she became a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. Maria left Entertainment Tonight in 2005 to join its competitor entertainment news show Access Hollywood as a special correspondent and work on NBC News Today as a West Coast contributor. She is the youngest person ever to co-host the Today (1952) Show and ever report for NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt (1970).
