British accessories designer and the creative director of Lulu Guinness store, Lucinda ‘Lulu’ Jane Guinness, was born in 1960. In 1989 Lulu launched her own company ‘Lulu Guinness’. Her designer handbags, clutches are quirky, unique, and one of a kind. Within a short time, her designs got immense popularity, and stores were open worldwide. Many celebrities, including Helena Bonham Carter, Madonna, and even The Duchess of York, are seen flaunting her collection. Though originally Guinness only sold handbags, in 2001, she launched a women's footwear collection. Guinness's designed ‘The Florist Basket’ is kept in the Victoria and Albert Museum exhibition. In 2017 the brand launched its apparel collection. Now through her flagship store, everything from sunglasses to shoes is sold. In 2005 Lulu Guinness published her book ‘Put On Your Pearls, Girls’. The self-taught designer has received OBE from Queen Elizabeth and many other accolades for her service to the fashion industry.
