Initially founded in 1998, Little Big Town is a country music band based out of Homewood, Alabama. It consists of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Philip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook. The band primarily focuses on delivering four-part harmonies, with all the members as vocalists. They released their debut album 'Little Big Town' in 2002 after being signed to Mercury Nashville Records. Two of the songs from the album managed to get on the country's chart singles. Little Big Town eventually left the label and was signed by the Equity Music Group, a significant turning point for their careers. The band's second album, 'The Road To Here, ' received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association OF America. The group also went on a 30 date theatre tour with Caitlyn Smith as their support act. One of their biggest shows was their performance at New York's Carnegie Hall the day before their album release.
