Larry Clarck
Larry Clark was a director, producer, writer, and photographer, born on January 19, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A. From the age of 13, he took an active part in his family business which was photography. Larry served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He published his book Tulsa in 1971, in which he shares his experiences of his drug-using experiences and his experience in war. In 1983 LArry published his book, Teenage Lust, an Autobiography with pictures. Clark also assembled an essay called The Perfect Essay, which is the study of media effects on youth which he shows through photographs. His other photographic books included 1992 in 1992. His photographic works have been an inspiration to several filmmakers, with many films based on them. All his photos are included in public collections in Art Museums. In 1993 Larry directed his first music video, The Solitary Man, and soon after, he directed his first movie, Kids.
