Kelsey Lu is an American singer and cellist born in Charlotte, North Carolina on 12 May 1989. She inherited her love for music from her parents. Her father was a percussionist while her mother was a pianist. From an early age of six, Lu started learning composition, violin, piano, and cello. At 18, Lu went to her family home to attend the University of North Carolina School of Arts, however, due to some reasons, she had to drop out. Years later, Kelsey made her debut in the music industry with her EP, Church. Lu is very selective about the songs that she would sing.
