Katherine Jenkins is a British singer, dancer, and actress. She was born in Neath, Wales, the UK on June 29, 1980. She attended Davis Church in Wales Primary School at Neath, Dwr-y Felin Comprehensive School, and Gorseinon College. Jenkins studied vocal performance with John Hugo Thomas with distinction in singing and piano.Jenkins was a member of the Royal School of Church Music Cathedral Singers (1991- 1996) and a member of the National Youth Choir of Wales. She won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music. As a model, Jenkins participated in a modeling competition becoming the face of Wales (2000). Universal Classic and Jazz offered her a six-album deal. Her first production "Premiere" (2004) made her the best-selling mezzo-soprano. Jenkins is the first woman to win two consecutive BRIT Classic Awards. She made her film debut with the film "Minamata" (2020).
