Bio

Based out of New York City, USA, Jerome Allen Seinfeld was born on April 29, 1954 in Brooklyn. His interest in humor bloomed when Seinfeld would star in college productions, leading him to take part in several open mic nights at venues such as Budd Friedman’s Improv Club. One such open-mic performance at New York’s Catch a Rising Star led to him bagging a role on Rodney Dangerfield’s HBO special. Eventually, Seinfeld got his one-hour comedy special named ‘Stand-Up Confidential’, which aired live on HBO. Jerry’s legacy, however, came in the form of the NBC television series ‘Seinfeld’ in 1988. With seasoned actors such as Micheal Richards and Jason Alexander, Seinfeld would become the most popular sitcom on American television. Post his stint with ‘Seinfeld’, Jerry returned to the world of stand-up comedy with his special ‘I’m Telling You For The Last Time’ and‘23 Hours To Kill.’
