Jane Pratt
Born on November 11, 1962, in San Francisco, California, Jane Pratt is an established editor and talk show host. After graduating from Oberlin College, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in arts and modern dance, she started her own magazine editorial called ‘Sassy’ aimed at creating content for teenage girls. Owing to the massive popularity of her magazine, Pratt collaborated with the pop band Sonic Youth to release a Flexi disc. Post her success with Sassy, Jane went on to host two talk shows for Fox and often worked with channels such as Vh-1 as a guest interviewer, wherein she garnered recognition for interacting with celebrities such as Micheal Jackson, Madonna, and Drew Barrymore. The American Society Of Magazine Writers also recognized Jane’s exceptional work and nominated her for the National Magazine Awards. Post Sassy’s buyout, Pratt started two other companies, Jane and xoJane, both of which were discontinued as she felt like they were not compatible with her entrepreneurial vision.
