Hoku Ho Clements is an American songwriter, actress, musician, and singer born on June 10, 1981 in Oahu. Hoku is the daughter of entertainers Dan Ho and Patricia Swallie. She first learned how to write songs from her father at a very young age and frequently performed with him. Don Ho made Hoku sing Tiny Bubbles with him on stage. By 11, she had mastered Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. Seeing her performance, producer Antonia Armato encouraged her to move to Los Angeles to meet other producers. At the age of 18, Hoku signed a deal with Geffen Records and became a Popstar. She got massive success with hits like Another Dumb Blonde, Snowy Day, The Burrito Song, and Perfect Day. At one point, Hoku was compared to Britney Spears. However, after the release of her EP Listen Up in 2007, Hoku stopped making music.
