Formed in 2002 in Waitsfield, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are a Vermont based American rock band. It was formed by singer Grace Potter and includes guitarist Scott Tournet and drummer Matt Burr. The band combines Soul funky, Blues, and Rock inspired by bands from the '60s and '70s. They started out their journey as an indie band, which was self-producing their albums. The group toured extensively in the jam bands and music festivals circuit doing close to 200 gigs a year. In 2005, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals signed for Hollywood Records. So far, they have published four studio albums, encompassing rock subgenres like hard rock, blues rock, folk-rock, and alternative rock. The band saw a huge hit in their third album in 2010. The self-titled album topped the iTunes charts and won them fans from across the globe.
