Born in France, Gilles Lellouche began his career as a director. He directed a short film titled 2 Minutes 36 de Bonheur in 1996, after which he took a hiatus from directing and dipped his toes into acting. Gilles made his film debut in Yvan Attal’s My Wife is an Actress (1996), where he played a minor role. He returned to directing in 2002 with another short film, Narco (2004), The Players (2012), and Sink or Swim (2018), which won him many nominations and accolades. Some of his nomination-winning roles are in Claude Miller’s Thérèse Desqueyroux (2012), Olivier Nakache & Eric Toledano’s C’est la vie! (2017), and In Safe Hands (2018). He has shared the screen with Marion Cotillard four times in Boomer (2001), Love Me If You Dare (2003), Ma vie en l’air (2005), and Little White Lies (2010). There are more than fifty films that Gilles has appeared in.
