Born on January 30, 1930, in San Bernardino, California, USA, Gene Hackman is widely famous for his role as Jimmy Doyle in The French Connection (1971), where he worked with Roy Scheider. He was cast in 'Any Wednesday' in 1964 as a lead character which led to other acting opportunities, including 'Lilith' where he shared the screen with co-celebrity Warren Beatty. His performance as an actor has been praised in movies like I Never Sang For My Father (1970), Bonnie and Clyde (1967), and Mississippi Burning (1988). The actor received immense praise for his performance as Little Bill Daggett in Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven (1992). He won the Oscar and Golden Globe for this role. Hackman also experimented with small roles in films like Young Frankenstein (1974), and Superman (1978) and was loved for his work. He is also known to experiment with characters — playing the devoted doctor in Extreme Measures (1996) and the captain on the verge of nuclear destruction in Crimson Tide (1995) — he has done it all.
