Gary Sinise
Born in Illinois, Gary Alan Sinise appeared on television in 1980 with his role in Knots Landing. Soon, he starred in True West (1983) by Steppenwolf Production and significantly impacted his audiences. The following year, he won the Obie Award for directing the American playhouse version of True West (1984). He made his debut as a director in Miles from Home (1988). Gary also played the lead as George Milton in the film Of Mice and Men (1992), which he directed and produced while sharing the screen with John Malkovich. Some of his award-winning performances are Lieutenant Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump (1994), Truman (1995), which won him the Golden Globe, Apollo 13 (1995), and George Wallace (1997), which bagged him the Emmy as the eponymous hero. He voiced the omniscient narrator in When We Left Earth (2008) and WWII in HD (2009) and played Agent Jack Garrett in Criminal Minds (2015), which was later reprised as the hero in Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016-2017).
