Frida Gold is a German band that is associated with Warner Music. They produce pop music in the German language, but mostly with English lyrics. The band involves bass player Andreas Weizel and singer Alina Süggeler. Their career made a kick start when they won the jury award at the Festival of Hattinger Newcomer. Frida Gold’s first single, ‘Zeig mir wie du tanzt’ was released in 2010, and soon it entered the German and Austrian charts in the same year. Frida Gold then made an appearance in MTV’s Campus Invasion and Bochum Total. Their album, ‘Gem’, came next, with the single ‘Unsere Liebe ist aus Gold’ which made them get gold for the North-Rhine Westphalia. The band’s famous singles Wire and Zugas were released in 2016. This was the German version of the song Touch The Sky. Their single ‘Zurück zu mir’ was featured in the movie Conni and Co 2.
