English indie rock band, Florence + the Machine was founded in 2007 with core members Florence Welch on vocals, Isabella Summers on the keyboard, Robert Ackroyd on the guitars and Tom Monger on the harp. Their debut studio album, ‘Lungs’, was released in 2009 and reached the number two position on the UK charts. In the following year, the album took the top spot after remaining on the chart for twenty-eight weeks. It was one of the best-selling albums in 2009 and 2010. Even their second album ‘Ceremonials’, made its way to the number one position in the UK charts and the number six position in the US Charts. For the third consecutive time, the band maintained the top spot in UK Charts and rose to the number spot in the US Billboard 200 list with their album, ‘How Beautiful’. The band has received a BRIT award for Best British Album and has even been nominated for six Grammy Awards for their interesting blend of soul and rock.
