Emile Sande is a British singer and songwriter who began songwriting at an early age. She was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2017 Queens Birthday Honours List for her services to Music in London. She wrote her first song at the age of 11, which was called Tomorrow Starts Again - the song had proper structure. Sande already won a BRIT award and a MOBO award before releasing her debut album, Our Version of Events, in 2012.  She made successful collaborations with Chipmunk (for Diamond Rings) and David Guetta (for What I Did for Love). With several Top Ten entries as a featured artist, Sandé has written songs for Alicia Keys,Tinie Tempah, Leona Lewis, and Labrinth. In December 2011, she received the BRIT Critics Choice award. She was also nominated for the BRIT Award for the British Breakthrough Act in 2012.
