Dana Delany is an American actress born on 13 March 1956 in New York, United States. She always dreamt of becoming an actress and started her journey by acting in soap operas like Love of Life and As the World Turns. She performed in the Broadway show A Life and then went to win critical acclaim in 1983 for Broadway Blood Moon. The following years she guest starred in shows like Moonlighting, Magnum P.I. and Thirty Something. However, it was her performance in ABC TVs China Beach that made her earn two Emmy Awards as Best Actress and four Emmy nominations. She has been an integral part of television shows Desperate Housewives (ABC, 2004-12) and Body of Proof (ABC, 2011-13). Her face has the charm of everyday women and made her performance stand out in Choices of the Heart: The Margaret Sanger Story (1995) and True Women (CBS, 1997).
