Daniel Edward Aykroyd is a Canadian film writer, actor, singer, comedian, and screenwriter. He was born on July 1, 1952, in Ottawa, Canada. He was educated at Lisgar Collegiate Institute, Carleton University in Criminology and Sociology. He was an original member of “Not Ready for Prime Time Players” On Saturday Night Live (1975-1979)The beginnings of Aykroyd were conducting comic tours of his country. After television, he managed to go to the movies where he achieved several successes including "The Blue Brother" (1980), "Trading Places" (1983), and the highest-grossing "Ghostbusters" (1984) of which he was co-writer. Aykroyd has worked in other genres of cinema, such as in the drama film "Driving Miss Daisy" (1989). He has made more than 40 films to date, he also recorded three blues albums.
