She is most popularly known for her song ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’, which turned her into a renowned pop icon. Lauper began her career singing at local nightclubs and performing popular songs. In the year 1977, Lauper made her first stage performance as a part of Blue Angels, a rockabilly band formed with fellow musician John Turi.
