Born in New York City, Colin Kelly Jost joined the Staten Island Advance as a reporter and copy editor right after college. Eventually, he joined the animated show Kappa Mikey on Nickelodeon as a writer. This experience enhanced his skills when he started working for Saturday Night Live (2005) on NBC, receiving several promotions. Jost became the writing supervisor in 2009 and was promoted to co-head writer in 2012, where he worked with Rob Klein.  Ever since Colin filled in as an anchor for Seth Meyer in Weekend Update, he realized his potential. Jost appeared as a stand-up comedian on shows like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, TBS, and HBO. He was at the ‘Montreal Just for Laughs’ festival in 2009 and 2010, besides being part of the ‘Chicago Just for Laughs’ in 2011 and 2012. His comic pieces entitled ‘Shouts and Murmurs’ are published in reputed columns.
